Our Values

Our Mission

At The Wildflower Alliance, we empower and support families of children with disabilities through dedicated advocacy, comprehensive resources, and a robust community network. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for these families by offering education, outreach, and compassionate assistance, ensuring every child can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world where every family, regardless of their children's abilities, has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. We strive to build an inclusive community that celebrates diversity, fosters understanding, and empowers all children to achieve their fullest potential.

We exist to improve the everyday life experience of families raising children with disabilities.
Our approach is guided by one belief: equity is created when barriers are removed and dignity is protected in every part of life.

We do this through three interconnected commitments:

1. We center the lived experience of families.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

Families often know exactly what isn’t working in their communities, but they carry the burden alone.

We listen closely, honor their expertise, and shape our work around what they tell us:

  • where they feel unseen
  • what makes access difficult
  • what would make daily life easier
  • what belonging would actually look like

This is the heart of our work and the anchor of every offering.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

Children and caregivers encounter obstacles in community spaces, social settings, services, systems, and even informal interactions.

Our approach focuses on removing those obstacles through:

  • thoughtful design of experiences
  • community education and modeling
  • strengthened family support
  • partnership with institutions willing to evolve

Every offering we create is structured, intentional, and rooted in equity design practice.

3. We demonstrate what equitable life can look like.

2. We reduce barriers across the environments families move through.

3. We demonstrate what equitable life can look like.

Rather than talk about inclusion in theory, we show what’s possible.

Through our programs, collaborations, and community-facing work, we model:

  • what belonging feels like
  • how families can be supported with dignity
  • how peers and professionals can show up with practical skill
  • how environments transform when everyone is considered

These demonstrations are small-scale proofs of what is possible at a larger scale.

What Guides Us

At the heart of our work is a simple question:
Did we make a family’s life easier, more accessible, and more connected than it was before?

Everything else flows from that.

Family Needs Survey

We invite you to take our survey and share your valuable insights as part of the disability community. Your feedback will help us better understand and meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Please share the survey with others who can offer input from their experiences. Thank you for your support!
